Where do you ship?

We ship to anywhere in the United Kingdom

How long does shipping take?

Most orders are shipped the same or next day. If you select Standard shipping then it should be with you two working days after shipping and if you select Express it is normally with you the next working day after shipping.

How do I track my order?

Your order confirmation email contains a link to the most up to date information about your order. You will also receive tracking information when the order is shipped.

Which courier do you use?

The majority of our orders are shipped using Royal Mail. Some orders may be sent via either DPD Local or Parcelforce at our discretion.

Return, refund & exchange policy

Can I return/exchange items if I change my mind?

If you change your mind and wish to return any items, you have 14 days from the date that you received them to inform us of your decision. If you choose to cancel after the goods have been dispatched, you will be responsible for all postage costs and are completely responsible for ensuring the items are returned to us in the same condition received.

If returned goods are not returned in the same condition received, we withhold the right to deduct 25% from the refund cost or refuse the return outright.

If you wish to cancel a ticket for an event, you have to let us know at least 48 hours before the event is due to occur. After this time, the tickets are non-refundable however can be transferred to another player.

Do you offer refunds?

Yes, if informed in 14 days from you having received the item and as long as the item hasn't been opened and is still in a saleable condition.

Can I return a sale item?

Yes, if informed in 14 days from you having received the item and as long as the item hasn't been opened and is still in a saleable condition.

Can you help with missing pieces?

Yes, we are happy to help with acquiring any missing pieces from items purchased from us. And if the pieces can't be sourced from our suppliers then can offer an exchange or a refund.

Please inspect items on arrival as we may not be able to help if not informed in the first 30 days of items missing.

My item is damaged, what do I do?

We take every care to make sure your items are well wrapped and in great condition when you receive them. However sometimes something goes wrong and we are happy to offer exchanges, discounts or returns if an item arrives with your damaged. Just get in touch with us!

Which payment types do you accept?

There is quite a list of cards accepted on our website: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, Maestro, UnionPay, Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal

We also accept cash payments in our store.

We cannot accept any payments over the phone.

Do you offer Buy Now Pay Later?

We currently do not offer this service, although services like PayPal may have this option available to you.

How long should a refund take to reach me?

It can take up to 10 working days for a refund to reach you depending on the speed of your bank.

Do you offer gift receipts?

Yes! Either leave a note on the order or drop us a message and we will make sure to send a gift receipt.

Do you offer gift cards?

Yes we do offer gift cards. We have virtual gift cards available on our website and offer physical gift cards in our store.

How long are gift cards valid for?

Our gift cards do not expire.

Can I exchange a gift card for cash?

Unfortunately, gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash and have no cash value.

The item I want is out of stock. Can I pre-order?

Yes, we can take a pre-order for an item that is out of stock. For these items, we don't take payment when the order is made. There may be some items that we can't take pre-orders for such as items that are being removed from a range or are out of print.

How often are items restocked?

We receive in multiple orders every week however certain items may be out of print or not available. If you want more information about an item then drop us a message!

Why do you limit quantities for certain products?

Sometimes with in demand items we know we are not going to receive enough for every customer so we try to make sure the most gamers possible end up with the item.

What do loyalty program members get?

You earn points on every order you make. £1 equals 1 point. At 110 points you can exchange it for a 5% off voucher and at 200 points you can exchange it for £2 off your order.

There are also bonus points for completing some activities.

How do I join the loyalty program?

Simply create an account on our website and you will be automatically signed up to our loyalty scheme.

Meet the Athena Games Team

Mitchell

Hi my name is Mitchell and I am the manager here at Athena Games! Much like Sauron I have a one game to rule them all policy, and that is most certainly the Middle Earth Strategy Battle game, though of late I have been drawn to Marvel Crisis Protocol, who can say no to cyclops? As well as A Song of Ice and Fire, who doesn’t want to flay flesh right? 

In my downtime I play a host of board games with one of my current favourites being Spirit Island, along with dabbling in Digimon. If you are ever looking to learn Middle Earth, or for a group to play a board game I am your man.

Chris T

Hello, I’m the “other” resident Chris, more often referring to myself as “Chris T”. I’m a bit of a jack-of-all-trades kind of player, currently dabbling in Age of Sigmar, Digimon TCG and board games. Although I’ve had experience in a whole host of other games (X-Wing and the Middle-Earth Strategy Battle Game are still a couple favorites!) 

I generally prefer the more social aspect of games compared to the competitive. I love talking about the stories and lore behind the games themselves, and will enjoy a conversation about almost anything tabletop related. I’m very approachable so please feel free to come and have a chat!

Hey my name is Chloe, and much like a magpie is drawn to shiny things, I am drawn to little plastic soldiers. I am mostly invested in Middle Earth Strategy Battle Game (i.e it’s the majority of my assets) and love to paint them up! I have recently gotten into Kill Team and Necromunda, as well as enjoying Star Wars Legion!

Chris E is our pint sized encyclopedia of all things gaming and he does it all with a smile.   He is our resident war games expert and has recently become a Middle-Earth fan - not that we can blame him! With board games, Chris's current top picks are 7 Wonders Duel, Tiny Epic Galaxies and The Quacks of Quedlingburg. 

He may not always be in the favour of the Dice Gods, but he will always be on hand with great advice and friendly demonstrations. Outside of gaming, his biggest love is a good cup of tea - just be sure to have sugar on hand as he doesn't believe he's quite sweet enough.

Hey all my name’s Alex, and I’m the go-to person to talk to about our range of Trading Card Game (TCG) products. I’ve played most of the ones we sell, but at the moment I’m heavily invested in Magic: the Gathering, Digimon, and Cardfight! Vanguard. Where are you located?

Athena Games is located right in the centre of Norwich. We are easy to reach from the bus and train stations, as well as the airport! The store is located on a pedestrianised alley between St Benedict's Street and Pottergate.

When are you open?

Our team is available Monday to Friday 11am to 10:30pm, Saturday 10am-6pm and Sunday 11am to 5pm.
